Editorial information

Hype & Honor publishes reporting, analysis, commentary, projections, and opinion. Although we work to use reliable information and identify uncertainty honestly, information can change and errors can occur.

Privacy

Hype & Honor does not currently offer user accounts or payment processing.

Published polls collect anonymous vote counts. A browser cookie may be used only to reduce duplicate votes on the same poll surface. Votes are not tied to names, email addresses or accounts.

Fan Bricks ballots are anonymous. When a reader saves a ballot, the site sets a random browser cookie so that browser can keep one editable ballot per game. The cookie is not tied to a name, email address or account. Without accounts, Hype & Honor counts ballots and cannot verify that each ballot comes from a different person.

To limit abuse, the site briefly keeps a one-way hash of the network address that submitted a ballot. It is not stored with the ballot and is deleted within an hour.

An optional reason submitted with Fan Bricks is private. It is read only by Hype & Honor, is never published or returned by the site, and is deleted 90 days after it was last saved. Fan Brick totals remain after reasons are deleted.

Hype & Honor uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic and improve its coverage. This may include page views, referring pages, general geographic region, browser, operating system and device type. Vercel states that its Web Analytics data is anonymous, is not tied to individual visitors or IP addresses and is collected without third-party cookies. Visitors are distinguished through a hash created from the incoming request, and the visitor-session identifier is discarded after 24 hours.

Like most hosted websites, the site’s hosting and infrastructure providers may process limited technical information required to deliver, secure and operate the site. This can include an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages and diagnostic logs.

Hype & Honor does not sell personal information or use analytics to identify individual readers.

If accounts, public submissions, payment processing or other data-collecting features are added later, this notice will be updated before those features are made public.

Support

Financial support is not currently available through the site. A future Support H&H feature may use a third-party payment provider. No payment information is collected by Hype & Honor at this time.

Image credits

Published articles currently use the site’s honest no-image presentation unless an approved image and its required credit are provided.

Original Hype & Honor brand artwork belongs to Hype & Honor. Any third-party image used in future coverage must include an appropriate source or credit and must pass the publication’s licensing review before publication.
